12. ANTHONY FARMHOUSE

This building was the home of Susan B. Anthony's parents, Daniel and Lucy Anthony. It was located near Brooks Avenue in what was at that time part of the Town of Gates. The family moved here in 1845.

Susan B. Anthony's parents were active abolitionists, temperance advocates, and early supporters of woman suffrage.
