Bevier Building. Designed by prominent local architect Claude Bragdon on the original site of Col. Nathaniel Rochester's home. Col. Rochester was one of the city's original developers and settlers.

Original Owner: Rochester Athenaeum and Mechanics Institute School of Applied Arts

Subsequent Uses: Housed Action for a Better Community for some time after its formation following the 1964 riots then became office space.

Architecture

Design and Style: Four stories, flat roof, projected arcade cornice. Polychromatic ceramic banding above windows in blue, white, green, and brown.
