Mission
The Rush
Public Library strives to provide access to materials and services from its own collection
and from the Monroe County Library System, functioning as a community activity and
information center. Special emphasis is placed upon popular materials for patrons,
materials and programs for children and resources for independent living.

Board of
Trustees
The library’s seven member Board
governs the library. It charts vision, sets policy, secures funding, hires
and supervises the director and advocates for quality library service to
Rush residents. Its members serve for five-year terms. Meetings are open to
the public and start at 7:15pm. Meeting dates in 2009 are as follows:
