Morning & Afternoon Stories
Monday, April 2 – Tuesday, May 15 *NO storytime on 4/30 & 5/1*
Registration begins on Tuesday, March 27 @ 10:00 AM (call or stop by the library to register)
Please note, only parents or legal guardians should register children

Just for Babies: (newborns to 23 months, with caregiver) 25 minutes of rhymes, songs, books, and movement for little ones. Tuesdays @ 11:15 AM

Toddler Time: (Ages 2 & 3, with caregiver) 20-25 minutes of stories, puppets, action rhymes, nursery rhymes, and flannel board stories, ending with coloring together. Mondays OR Tuesdays @ 10:15 AM

Preschoolers: (ages 4 & 5) 30 minutes of stories, fingerplays, puppets, and flannel board stories, and other ways to enjoy stories. Mondays @ 11:15 AM OR Tuesdays @ 2:00 PM

Sign-up will start on 3/27/07 @ 10:00 AM. Sessions fill up quickly, so give us a call at 336-6062 or stop in to the Evans Branch to register.

Bedtime Stories
Thursdays: March 15th & May 17th @ 7:00 PM
Evening storytime and a craft for little ones. Come in your PJ’s. Favorite blankets and stuffed animals are invited too!
For children ages 2-6
NO registration is necessary, just drop in!


Book Talk
Every Other Thursday: March 29, April 12 & 26, May 10 & 24 @ 4:00 PM
Join other kids who like to read as much as you do. We'll read and talk about a different book each month and do an activity. Snacks provided.
For kids in grades 4-6
Registration is required.


Superheroes Game
With Chris Pallace

Wednesday, March 14th from 3:30-5 PM

Back by popular demand, Superhero game designer Chris Pallace teaches us to play NUMBERS LEAGUE, where you are the leader of a team of Superheroes in a quest to rid the streets of villains. Do you have the skill it takes to use all of yourteam’s powers to save the day?
For grades 1-5

The Magic Guy

Wednesday, April 11th @ 2:00 PM

Join us in a journey into the world of magic! Magic tricks with plenty of audience participation.
For grades Preschool and up

Birds and Bats
With Irondequoit Teens Alex Ruhling and Jen Cumbo

Monday, April 16th @ 4:00 PM

Young bird experts Alex and Jen are coming back by popular demand with bird and bat games, crafts and tons to celebrate Earth Week!
For grades 2-6
Registration is required.


Craft: Royal Castles
Monday, April 23 from 4-5 PM
Hear a castle story, the make your own magnificent castle with spires, stone walls, flags and a drawbridge -- all ready for knights in armor of a princess.
For grades 1-6
Registration is required.


Cool Tricks and Big Fun
With Jeff and Wes Peden of the award-winning Airplay

Thursday, May 10th @ 7:00 PM

Come see Airplay as they perform their fast-paced show including everything from juggling and acrobatics to unicycling and comedy! This continually creative and energetic duo is known for their ability to engage the entire audience and leave them saying *WOW!* Bring the whole family for a night of fun!
For children of all ages

Craft: Birdfeeders
Monday, May 14 from 4-5 PM
Hear a folktale about birds, then make and decorate your own birdfeeder.
For grades 1-6
Registration is required.


Sign language interpretation services can be arranged upon request for all programs.  Please call or stop in to the library 2 WEEKS IN ADVANCE to request this service.
