The Call of the Wild Irondequoit Art Contest
December 1 - January 25
For Teens and Adults

Teen artists (ages 12-17) and adult artists (18 and older) are invited to take part in “The Call of the Wild” art contest. Entrants are invited to design a new cover for the book The Call of the Wild using pastels, charcoal pencil, oils, water color, or colored pencils. Entries should not be bigger than 8.5 by 11.

Entries must be received by January 25th at the Helen McGraw Branch Library. No copyrighted material is acceptable. The library will display them during the month of February and will give ribbons to first and second place winners to adults 18 and older and teens 12-17.

AARP Driver Safety Program
The AARP Driver Safety Program is a classroom driver refresher course designed for drivers aged 50 and over. The course explains the changes that occur in vision, hearing and reaction time as we age and provides useful driving safety tips for handling these changes. Graduates are entitled to a 10% discount on their liability and collusion insurance. The eight-hour course is divided into two sessions. A fee is required: please bring a check or money order for $10.00, made out to AARP to the first session. Registration is required.
