HOW TO FIND INFORMATION ABOUT A COMPANY

To practice searching for a company, click here, or read the step-by-step instructions below.

1.

Click on the Company button. (Where is this?)

2.

Type in the company name or ticker symbol.

3.

Select if you want to search for "All Companies" or "Ultimate Parent." If you are not sure, start with "All Companies."

4.

If no companies match your search then try a search using "All Companies" or add more information - such as industry code, product or brand name, or location - and search again.

5.

When a search is successful, the search results will appear listing one or more companies with that name or ticker symbol. Companies with the highest revenue are listed first. Click on the desired company.

6.

Basic information about the company will be displayed. Additional information can be found by clicking on the tabs near the top of the page. Only tabs in bold contain information for this company. Click here for descriptions of what content each tab provides.

Search tip:
Sometimes a search will result in a list of articles instead of company information. This may be because the company is not included in the database or you need to try a different name in the search. For example, a search for "Wegman" in "All Companies" gives a list of articles but a search for "Wegmans" (with the s) gives the company information.
