Chili Public Library Teen Photography Contest
Submission guidelines: Please submit a 4X6 or 5X7 hard copy of your photograph (no electronic submissions will be accepted) and a completed entry form. Photographs featuring people that are "recognizable" must be accompanied by a Chili Public Library Photo Release form (one for every person featured!) If the featured person is under age 18, the form must be signed by a parent or guardian. Photos can feature people, pets, landscapes, architecture, or scenery. Photos may be in either color or black and white. The Chili Public Library has the right to refuse any submission that is deemed obscene or inappropriate. Each person is limited to 2 entries. Submitted photos will not be returned!
When: Submissions accepted May 1 through May 15, 2008. Late submissions will not be accepted or considered for prizes. A photo show featuring all submissions and a reception will be Saturday, May 31 at the Chili Public Library at 3 pm.
Where: Mail or drop off submissions to: Chili Public Library, 3333 Chili Avenue, Rochester, NY 14624 Attn: Claire Talbot. Entries with a postmark after May 15, 2008 will not be accepted. Submitted photos will not be returned and will become the property of the Chili Public Library.
Prizes: First Place, $50 mall gift certificate; Second Place, $30 mall gift certificate; Third Place $20 mall gift certificate. All photos will be displayed in the library during the month of June, 2008, and winners will be featured on the Chili Public Library's website! There will also be a "viewer's choice" ($10 mall gift certificate) award, that will be voted on by patrons of the library that view the display. Votes will be tallied on June 10.
Who: Children ages 10-18 living in Monroe County. Amateur photographers only - no professionals, please.
