New at the
Chili Public Library
The Friends of the Chili Public Library are raffling off three pairs of
Keuka Wine Trail tickets good for September 13 and 14.
Raffle coupons are $1 each or 6 for $5 and may be purchased at the front
check-out desk. The drawing will be Wednesday, August 20. The
tickets were donated by the Yates County Chamber of Commerce.

The Summer Booksale for the Friends of the Chili Public Library will be held
on Friday, August 15 from 9am-4pm. The sale is open to the general public.
On Thursday, August 14 from 5-7pm there will be a Friends Only Preview Sale.
Memberships are available at the door.
For your information, please be aware that the
time materials are being held on the hold shelf has been changed from 10
days to 7 days. Most notification is now done through email or
automated phone messages, so it was thought that a longer time frame was no
longer needed.
This is a new county wide policy.

Come into the library and see our new wood bookshelves in the new book area.
They were built by our own in-house carpenter, Dave Tyler. The
bookshelves were built with funds from the Friends of the Library and with
donations from the Memorial Fund in memory of Kathryn K. Whitmore, Peggy
Grace and Gary Tyler.
Playaways are a new format for
audio books that are now available at the library. They are digital
audio books in an MP3 format. Now listen to your favorite books with
no need to change a tape or CD. Come check them out!
